I've started a new series based on the Turkish style of water painting called Ebru. Ebru is a technique that uses a water bath, then paints are dropped into the bath. From there, the artist swirls and makes pattern with the paint and water. Traditionally this method is used to dye scarves and textiles. I was inspired by this method when I lived in Turkey and wanted to apply something similar to my paintings. My "Nativa" series incorporates painting with water and applying acyrylic on top of the water patttern.
